Summer Evening Delights

The members of Ashwell Theatre Club, their friends and family came together at a wonderful summer social - once again held in the lovely gardens of John and Ann Robertshaw.

Amid the bunting and fairy lights, folks sat down to enjoy a fabulous barbecue in the late July sun.

This year we were treated to an amusing reading by Jo (all about how to avoid getting murdered in an English village) before she introduced a wonderful performance by 5 of our members. After only 3 short rehearsals, James, Freya, Pete, Alison and Jack, performed an acted open book reading of Murder in Ashwell (based on Murder in Little Grimley). It was sensational; funny, well acted and very well executed. All present thoroughly enjoyed it.
