Another Honorary Lifetime Member

At the AGM this year, Christine Scholfield was only the second person in club history to be presented with an Ashwell Theatre Club Honorary Lifetime Membership.

Connie Chambers gave a wonderful speech about Christine's time in the club. She told us that Christine is believed to have held the position of chairperson longer than any other; how Christine has often been willing to take on the part no one else wants or is willing to do, or fill a gap in the company; and how Christine has always supported everyone else in the club, either with learning lines, make-up, costume fitting, cues ...

Christine was presented with an Honorary Lifetime Membership in recognition of her commitment to Ashwell Theatre Club and we wholeheartedly thank her for everything she has done.

As Connie said "As only the second honourable ‘life member’ Christine joins a very exclusive Ashwell Theatre Club sub-committee – one that doesn’t require minutes, subs or any time commitment other than continuing to participate in whichever way gives you joy Christine!"
